How Xbox 360 Customer Support Works

One of the most dreaded sights for any xbox 360 user is not anything that can be found on the gaming screen. Adventures of horror and action play out much to the delight of the user. What is it then that causes fear? The xbox 360 ring of red lights, more commonly known as the xbox 360 flashing red lights of death, can stop a game quicker that a power outage. Panic sets in as the user scrambles to bring the gaming system back to life.

When the first or third quadrants of lights are flashing, there is no other option but sending the entire unit into the service center for repair. Before racing to the mailbox, first place a call to customer support. There the "paramedic" will talk the user through the steps of unplugging every available cord from the unit. Next will come letting the unit 'rest' for a moment before plugging everything back in. Finally, the user will be instructed to reboot the system and hopefully it will come roaring back to life. When this fails, there is only one step remaining on how to fix 3 red lights on xbox 360 and that is sending the unit in for repair.

customer service starts this process by sending the gamer a box in which to ship the damaged xbox 360 in for servicing. Anything outside of a typical hardware problem requires sending in all necessary items with the system. Otherwise, all that needs to visit the 'hospital' is the gaming unit. Instructions are included with the box detailing anything extra sent in might not be returned. So detach the hard drive and store games in a separate location. box up the unit and send it on the way. Instead of receiving a bill for service, gamers typically receive overnight shipping on the repaired unit along with a free game.
